High-quality powder-metalled steel from Uddeholm

Elmax is a corrosion-resistant steel produced by Uddeholm using powder metallurgy. This technology enhances the steel’s toughness and strength even at high hardness levels (58–61 HRC). The steel thus achieves excellent cutting properties, high edge retention, strength and good toughness. The material is highly machinable.

The steel is exceptionally well-suited to boning and filleting knives due to its resistance to breakage, whilst bushcraft and hunting knife users will appreciate the high resistance of even highly tapered blades to chipping.
